About Us

• Martyn and Gabrielle Cleasby have been offering property services in France since 1999. Martyn is registered as an Agent Commercial (siret no. 428 077 945 00015) and works only with properly registered Agents Immobiliers who are members of FNAIM or SOCAF, both of which are French professional associations for estate agents.
• Our prices include agency commission but do not include the notaire's fees, though we can give you an approximate figure for these.
• We select and visit all our properties before presenting them. There are many more that we have not yet visited and we have access to hundreds of properties ranging from the more modest to the very grand. We usually have a selection of income-generating properties such as gites, B & B, small hotels, domains.
• Prices start at around £100,000 though there are just a few below this limit.
• Properties are primarily from the Gers with some just over the border in neighbouring Haute Garonne, Hautes Pyrénées and Tarn & Garonne.

 

The Service we Offer

We undertake to do the following:

• negotiate your purchase and oversee the whole process
• accompany you to the notaire or arrange Power of Attorney if you cannot be there
• arrange your house insurance transfer utilities to your name and arrange for bills to be sent to UK if appropriate
• help you to obtain estimates for building works

There is no additional charge for these services.

• If you require a mortgage, legal advice, or help with currency transfers, we can refer you to
  the experts.
• We can book accommodation for you from a specially selected list.
• After completion we are still here to help as you settle into your new home. If, however, you require help with paperwork, visits to schools, the Mairie, the bank, etc., there will be an hourly charge to cover our time and travel expenses. Please do not be afraid to ask.

CONSULTATION SERVICE

We offer a choice of 2 plans. The first is aimed at people who require a modest amount of help as mentioned above and is charged at an hourly rate. The second is a complete package for people purchasing elsewhere who feel their French is inadequate for getting through the sales process, as often happens when your agent has little or no English. We do NOT take over the work of the agent but we will give you all the support and back-up you need.
